and now that you have the EOTvsECT thing mastered

Watch these IPRvsICP and that will dial you in on your high pressure oil system

ICP = psi pressure
IPR = duty cycle controled percent

If you watch these 2 you will be able to watch for HPO leaks

read this thread for all the recent x-gauges
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...injectors.html

double check your FICM xgauge here^^ you can dial in your map and boost X-gauges here as well

Sorry that was my fault, i believe i misred what you had typed

My thermostat is 2 months old, so i know its good. In fact the more i thought about it i can watch my coolant temps at times climb to 195-198 and then slowly drop down to the low 190's. This is my thermostat opening as my coolant temps drop and hover around 190 correct?

I will be purchasing one of the coolant filter kits as well and installing as soon as the final flush is complete. Hopefully this alone will drop my ECT which should then drop the EOT.

Restore is for cleaning out any silicate goo. VC-9 is for cleaning out iron and scale. Use 1/2 gallon of Restore then top off with water and drive it for 20 to 30 miles. Flush it twice. Then use 2 quarts of VC-9 then top off with water and drive it for 20 to 30 miles. Flush 3-5 times with distilled water. Now add 3.5 gallons of coolant and top off with distilled water. This is with the T-Stat removed. When I did it mine my ECT/EOT delta dropped to about 6 degrees.

I would say flush till clear. Some have had to flush more. You can use hose water for a couple of flushes as long as the last two or three are distilled. Helps a little, esp. if you have one of the engines that had to be flushed 6 or 7 times.

Yeah, the Ex with the 2nd heater in the rear was a PITA.
Too bad there isn't a way to drain the heater line
under the truck that would really have helped drain the old
coolant.

I'm considering temporarily bypassing the heaters on my next
flush and just flushing the ENGINE several times.

Then flushing the heater hoses/cores by pouring distilled water into
1 heater hose and letting it flow through the heaters and out the
other hose.

Just checked the codes on the X Guage for the FICM and there was an error, fixed it and it worked great. 47.5 at start up and a steady 46 while running. Sweet! Now on to the flush and coolant filter install.
