alright guys gettin my new engine this week, its going on a stand and im rebuilding it before it goes in. now do any of you guys know of any websites that hold performance parts for explorers/ford 4.0 efi v6? im going ***** out on it, but cant find the parts i want. I was pretty loyal to summit racing after rebuilding a 73 chevelle with everything summit. but nothing for my car. i want everything intake manifold, pulleys, starter, throttle body, headers, you name it its goin on there new. i would love some good websites anything would help. thanks alot guys.
That was my first response also. Lots have been swapping the Explorer 5.0L into Rangers with no problems. Here is the best example, little much for some but he took truck of the year at two different Ranger sites.

my dilemma with the 5.0 is that (ive been told) my 5 spd manual transmission would not link up to the 5.0 without heavy modification/new transmission. i would absolutely love to drop a screamin 5.0 into her. im havin a very hard time actually finding a cheap engine now. i wont have money for a 600-900 dollar engine anytime soon. i was going the junk route, pull it myself, rebuild and install. the engine itself is 110 dollars i estimated the rebuild at about 430. but also that would be over time on the rebuild. i need a good idea and some good advice. but i cant sell the car im already $1500+ into it and would only get probably 400 tops for it in its condition. heeelpppppppppp
