Strange problem with dual gas tanks.

Stop Cross tank filling
Simple go to ebay and get two Dorman one way valves 5/16" nylon to nylon pn 800-226 , they are the only ones that give you the right hose connections, install one each on the output fuel hose 3" before the fuel line y/tee connector going to the gas filter, this will stop cross filling and truck will start up faster.

Ok, so I called Ford Customer Service, and they tell me that my 1993 F150 Dual tank/fuel pressure regulator is still an active recall...!!!
So I called a local dealer (here in the Tulsa area), and they are ordering parts in order to perform the recall. I am not sure if this includes sending units for the tanks/pumps/etc..., but neither are the guys in the service dept. I am hoping to get to keep fuel in both tanks, and switch it at will, all on Ford's dime. We shall see, and I will keep you updated.

BUT if one tank is pumping and the other is filling, then you need to replace the Failed FDM.
I had those recalls done and it was a band-aid. Still had to replace the fuel pumps...

Which tank first?
when turning on the key the switch/valve will get powered and move I believe you should use your front tank on so the valve cycles every time you turn the key off and on to exercise the valve.
Am I correct ?

I think not. There are many more current threads on this issue.
