So I finally talked to Gary Stecher, the guy who builds stealth pumps. He told me yesterday that hr was no longer able to discuss the pump with me! My thought was " WTF" pardon my french! I asked what do you mean, is it good, is it shot, can I have it back? He said it again he couldn't talk to me about it and since I had bought it from Beans that's who I needed to contact. Ok whatever! Odd thing was beans sent me Gary when my first pump went out because it was his pump and he was dealing with the warranty and repairs. So I called beans and the only person who ever answers is the lady Jessica to take orders. I've left messages on their voicemails and so far no return call. Kinda gettin annoyed I'm out $1,100 bucks. Hopefully someone will call me back before I have to get serious. All I want is my money back, is that to much to ask?
I also asked the lady at beans if they where suing stecher or something and she said that they where still getting the pumps from him that where already ordered. And kinda left it like that. I thought maybe they where gonna quit taking orders for the pump and not use stealth anymore or something. So if you have one ordered I'd be looking into this. If it was me I'd be canceling my order but I'm already to deep in it so will see what happens!
I actually just got off the phone with beans and they thought at first something was wrong with my truck till I told him the bleed down issue was from the gasket being the wrong one. Then his attitude changed to a more positive one and wanted to know what I wanted to do. He said he had a pump he could send me or give me a full refund! That made me happy! My mind is set on wanting my money back but I still want to know what went wrong with the second if anything. He told me he would try and find out from Gary and he'd let me know. At that point I'll ask for my money back! He said there have been a couple other failures but for the most part everyone has been satisfied. Oh well. I guess that's it. I'm gonna let this die now since I've been taken care of by Beans but till the Srp1 has been around for a while and proves itself I won't recommend it cause of a bad experience and that's all I'm saying. Hope you understand.
I guess this will always happen where someone talks negatively about a vendor someone just loves and they get all ansy about. This post was to get some positive responses without tearing apart a family! To each his own on who they deal with whether it be price, attitude, local, or just jam up service.
X2 on what Talyn said!! My experience with Beans is no answer phone calls, voicemails or emails. Its amazing though if want to order something, they answer on the first ring and take your money. Same with Swamps!! If I ever travel thru their part of the country I will tell them to their face what I think. I'll give Ryan Bean his brass donuts back also.
