Funny, John Wood doesn't use any of the ATF's mentioned...I can't rmember the brand he uses though .

 

John Wood has a big drum of Shaeffers in a pic on his website.

 

Well, last August I was in his shop and he definitely was not using Schaffer. I'm not saying anything bad about Schaeffer, I'm just trying to remember what he put in the tranny when I was there.

I emailed John Wood about it...I'll post his answer when I get it.

 

I used the cheap auto store merc V stuff. Flushed with 20 quarts.

I just finished speaking with John Wood at John Wood Automotive in Holtville, CA and here is what he said about fluid he uses.

A year ago, when I had my new transmission installed at his shop, he was using MONOLEC® SYN MULTI-VEHICLE ATF (1150) manufactured by Lubrication Engineers. He has now switched over to Schaeffer's All-Trans Supreme.
