1993 Ford F900 dump truck dahs lights
I just bought a 93 F900 dump truck. With the excpetion of getting the bed to dump and some hydraulic leaks the truck runs really good.
The automatic transmission may also be leaking alittle oil but it appears that its a very small leak and may be coming from the pan gasket if it has not beeen changed already.
Inside the cab so far the instrument cluster seems to work. I still have to check the engine hour meter but it the instrument cluster itself seems good.
The trouble is minor I think where the dash lights I beleive some refer to as jewls that are across the top of the instrument cluster right below the dash itself. It shows the turn signals, check engine light hi beam etc. Ideally some of the light or jewl covers have been pushed in but luckily I can get to them in the dash so I still have them and can glue them in place. So the three that are not in place I can fix as far as appearance. The dealer says they are discontinued so I cant get them there but does anyone know where I may check from Ford heavy truck parts online as I still want to fix my A/C blower that is not working (may be a fuse) among other things that may come up.
I saw an ad on ebay that shows LED lights as possible replacements for the dash lights so I guess they glow brighter and dont burn out as fast. Anyone try any or know the best place to get them and any upgrades I should make while im fooling with it? All of the lights are out which may be because they are either burnt out or its a blown fuse I have not seemed to find yet but either way it would be a good time to change the bulbs since I ahve no idea when or if they have been changed.
