2011 F-150 DELAYS????? WHY?
I ordered a 2011 F-150 ECO-BOOST in Early February and it still hasn't arrived!
I've read that there are some delays on getting the F-150 Eco-Boost trucks on time???
Does anyone know anything about this and what is causing the delays? My Truck has supposed to be in Atlanta for over 10 days now and the dealer can't get a straight answer from the FORD Zone Mgr.
WHAT'S UP FORD & WHERE IS MY TRUCK?

My truck arrived 9 weeks after the posted delivery date and the Japan Earth quake had nothing to do with it. The was built early Feb. Maybe the combination of the Japenese supplies and the shipping backlog. Has the VIN been generated? If so then it could be shipping. If not then it is supplies.

It depends when it was ordered. I ordered my tuxedo black ecoboost on March 17 and got it on April 20. Less than a week after I ordered mine, they announced the shortage of tuxedo black paint.

My 2011 Rapture is Delayed due to...
My VIN is still not created after 6 weeks. The local Ford dealer contacted the Regional Ford Rep and he said the delay is due to the navigation system being manufactured in Japan and the earthquake has shut down production. Bottom line Ford has no idea when the will build the truck.

If the truck has already been built the delay is a shipping one. In the not too distant past...when gas and diesel were $4.50+ a gallon and vehicles weren't selling...rail yards shut down...the railroads scrapped the railcars that carried our vehicles...and...ground transportation companies went out of business. Have your selling dealer do a "Vehicle Visibility" on FMC Dealer. They will be able to track the truck and it's estimated time of arrival.

Sorry you are having to wait. I ordered my F150 SCREW Ecoboost XLT Red Candy on March 20. I just got it May 13. It came a week early. I was told there were problems getting this paint so I thought it would come late. It would be worth any wait. I absolutely love this truck. I hope you get yours soon. Did I mention, "I Love My Truck"?

Received mine just 6 weeks from order to delivery, and I do love the Candy Red.

I orderd my 2011 FX2 Super Crew EB with Sterling Gray paint on April 5 and picked it up at the dealer this past Saturday, May 14. It arrived a week earlier than planned. Looks like mine came out of Kansas City. Don't know if that makes a difference. Mine does not have the navigation radio in it. Hope everyone that has a F150 on order receives their trucks soon. I know how hard it is to wait.

I ordered a loaded Lariat SCrew long bed May 3rd, Ford for whatever reason didnt pull the orders from the dealer that week. Finally last week they pulled them, got a VIN for it yesterday but no build date yet.
I read somewhere that there was a way for people to look and check on the progress of their vehicle if you had a VIN, anyone know anything about that, is there a way for a customer to look themselves without having to go through the dealer ?
