Does one of ya know the original dimensions for individual boards? And how do i get the cuts for the rails? Put a router bit on the drill or ??

An actual router is inexpensive and worth it if you want to do a good job. Probably could get one on Craigslist for 20 or 25 dollars.

I'm no help on dimensions though.

I have to hand to you guys, you've all been alot of help. Project going slow due to the truck being my daily driver. and working for the gas drilling here in pa isnt much help either. But keep up with the suggestions.

Just take a circular saw and set the depth to just enough

A table saw would be the proper way to cut the grooves. Here is a video of the wood installation. If you notice, the wood is notched for the metal slats that go over the joints. Show Deck
