Well it was time to do shocks on my 03 f350 5.4 srw. I know most are running bilsteins and rancho 9000s but I just couldn't justify the $ on those since since I'm rarely off road and don't tow much. I do carry contractor size loads of roof shingles and lumber etc etc. I went with skyjacker nitro 8000s. I've been running them for a week or so and I'm very impressed. Stiff but nice upgrade from stock. I've done lots of shocks on other trucks and cars and really never saw a noticeable improvement in ride quality. I did on mine! My stocks also had 90k on em. Lol. Anyways if u don't want to drop 400 on shocks try out skyjackers. They have a rebate running till the end of the month also. I got fronts and rears for 165$ and I just sent in my 35$ rebate.
They def have a stiff feel. But I like that "tight" front end ride. I love em. Sharp looking too. Hit below the boot with fluid film after install cause that brilliant white turns to brilliant rust in no time where I live. Hey bigblue - swampscott Ma? I'm on Lynn shore drive.
installed my nitro 8000 about two months ago and i absolutely love them! for the money you cant beat them, plus off road they really can take a hit and handle it
