Okay so im not sure if that's the name for it or not but in any case when I took my motor out I through this part out (stupid I know) it was a flat round metal sheet that went betwwen my block and the flywheel with a cut out for the starter. I have been unable to find a replacement and was wondering if anyone knew the part number or a place that sold one for my type of truck. 85 F150 4.9L 300 I6. Any help would be appreciated!
302's and 351w" have the same bellhousing pattern. Theoretically those plates would fit, with possibly a little trimming needed around the crankshaft area. I have never done this though, so it may not work.
THANK YOU!!! It was this one though 300 289 302 & 351 FORD BLOCK SAVER PLATE | eBay I spoke with the guy before I ordered it he's sitting pretty with alot of ford parts from this warehouse that purchased all of the old ford 6cyl stuff before they stop making it.
Clutch and auto are different block spacer plates.
also you need to know how many teeth your flywheel has. the plates meant for mustangs etc dont always work because of the smaller flywheel size.
If you have a 164 tooth flywheel it just wont work with the plate meant for the smaller wheel.
I had to take an angle grinder to mine because I'm a cheap ***.
Yea...that was my first stop but unfortunately I was told by the parts rep. I believe part numbers where D05-7007-A and C05-7007-A were not being made anymore but then I went to the ebay listing in my previous post and my troubles were solved
