steering box
so i decided to take the truck mudding last night and now the steering box from my truck is leaking bad so could i go to the junk yard and pick one off of a gasser and have it work or what can i do? i dont know much about steering and supension at all

how she do in the mudd i woudnt use the picked box and it might leak just as bad of worse i would get a rebuild kit instead and rebuill the old box Powercraft 8897 - Power Steering Repair Kit | O'Reilly Auto Parts heres a link to a rebuild kit 42 bucks

oh sweet yeah i didnt know they had a rebuild kit for it ill have to get that. she did good for being stock just one hole i got stuck in thats it. the hole burried about half my truck

Steering was all the same for the 80's model F-Series...sometimes....alot of times it was questioned as to why, but i know they are the same and can be used on any motor.

Thats what I would do just as a temporary band-aid. Then once you get your one rebuilt, rebuild the one you get from the junkyard so when you decide to hollar bonzai or geronimo....you have an extra...idk why ppl hollar that stuff lol.
