I have a 2000 F53 MH with a V10 and 4R100. It has 72K, flushed/changed the transfluid as per a good write up!! I dropped the pan, changed filters, refilled, pulled the cooler line and flushed/filled/flushed/filled. I did that at 60K, shifted fine.
A few weeks ago it started not down shifting out of OD every now and then. Then it stopped downs shifting from OD and threw a P0705 code. It did not down shift from any gear. Then it stared short shifting up. I replaced the TRS (transmission range sensor) with a ford part and it helped the 1-2-3 down shifting some but not 100% and still no OD down shift.
If I hit the OD button on the gear selector it will down shift, and stay down shifted till it needs to up shift, even if i hit the button sooner that it needs..
The fluid id full, nice and red, no burning smell. I checked all the fuses. Now what??
Thanks

ps(WE are full time RVer's that travel for my work, so leaving at a shop is out of the question..)
You need someone with the right scan tool to read the codes. I suspect that there are codes stored in the PCM that will point where to look. All Ford dealers and any good independent shop will be able to read the codes. The parts stores can't do it.
OK, I had the codes pulled. P1100, P1702, P171&174(had a fuel pump go south), P0705, P1120 & 1125. The guy cleared the codes. 1120 and 1125 is TPS, swapped TPS and nothing. I am looking at P1702 TRS Sensor Intermittent Circuit Malfunction, and the 1100..
Help what next??

A little more reading and i cleaned the K&N filter a couple of weeks ago, then the converter stuff started..I'll get some Cleaner, clean the MAF, and retest??
I cleaned the MAF and pulled the Neg Cable for 30 minutes, it ran good for 1 hour then started the engaging and disengaging. Cleaned again and reset, 2 hrs then started, cleaned again, and reset, not past 6 hrs!!! Then the check engine cam back, time to reread codes. Still not down shifting, i was told it is a solenoid pack in the trans. Still looking to find some more info??
Thanks
