Can't Win

After 3 day of busting my but on this truck with new oil and egr coolers truck is running great! But now I notice a slight knock knock knock sound coming from my engine. I did notice this sound before work was performed but thought it might go away after truck was repaired. Can really hear at idle but not really noticeable when driving. Any thoughts? Lets hear the bad news.......

Hey guys I have research the hell out of this noise im hearing and came across another site with a guy that had the same exact sound and he has the vid on Youtube. I myself do not no how to post the vid so here is the title. ( F350 Cold Start 60*F ) and ( 6.0L Ford Powerstroke Diesel Engine Noise AVI ) If I close my eyes and listen to the vid I would bet my life it was my truck in vid. Same identical back ground Knock.. I even went ahead and changed my 1 week old oil today and didnt do a thing.

A injector can make a knocking noise.

I think it sounds good. Sounds like mine and any other I worked on. I have been maintaining marine diesels for 18 years and sometime when you get so involved with one no matter what you do it just dosent seem right. Just drive it and enjoy it and try not to open the hood for one week.

WOW I sure hope you guys are right! That would be a huge sie of relief the dam thing is running like a runaway freight train since Bullet proof egr/oil cooler job last week. It would be great to think that my truck is ready to go for another 100,000 miles+

sounds fine to me too. they have a slight slight knock to them but thats how these motors are. my bros who i just finished doing studs on has 48k on his and it sounds just the same. i doubt there is anything wrong.

Neither of these two videos have an alarming sound. The 6.0 injectors are not the most refinned sounding injectors so it is what it is.

I can say from personnel experience that when I was running synthetic oil my injectors were louder at idle than compared to running a conventional oil.
