I seem to have acquired a vibration coming from the back end. I had new tires put on the front and the older front tires ( 65% +/- ) put on the back. Prior to this change no vibration - zip. I had only put about 3 kms on the new setup and at about 105 kph (65mph) heard what sounded to be a rock make the rounds in the wheel well and gone and then wild vibration. I figured the right rear wheel tossed a weight which seemed reasonable. I stopped and checked the back end undercarriage for missing or damaged parts all looked good. Took her up to 105 kph -110kph -120kph (75mph) by this point it was a very noticeable vibration through the seat, suspect for sure tossed weight. I went back to the tire shop they pulled the passenger side rear wheel and re-spun it came out good, went to the left rear and it was out 1.5 oz ( tossed weight wheel ) rebalanced and I go home. Under 90 kph ok. I ran to the city and at 120 kph very bad shake again when I got home recheck all looks fine re torque all lug nuts to 140ftlbs. One other thought came to mind as it happened already was tire separation but I don't see any deviation in the side walls of any tires. When I had the inspection done on return of the theft I did notice that the pinion seal and the right rear shock (rancho factory install, now 68000kms) was weeping a little but I have not noticed a buck or uneven bounce in the ride. U joints all look and feel ok. I am having the ball joints replaced on the drivers side Monday, putting in a new steering stabilizer Saturday and on Tuesday back to the tire shop. Is there something else I can look for tomorrow while I am underneath it.As always thank for the help.
Got all my stuff done on the truck. Feels really good now. My vibration turned out to be belt separation on the right rear tire which was originally on the right front. Hard pull to the right. Thoughts are that this tire took a hard curb hit when it was stolen damaging the the belts ?. When I hit 120 kph it separated but externally you could not tell ,when it was on the balance machine became visible . Any speed under 100kph was minor vibration thus gone un noted on the road inspection as a problem. Anyway time to put some miles on it see where we end up.
