NSRA Nationals in Knoxville THIS weekend--anybody been?

Well....I'm pretty much set to show up at the F100 Supernationals in Pigeon Forge next weekend. But I've got a buddy who really wants me to ride down with him to the NSRA event tomorrow in Knoxville. Since most of us here have about the same type of interests in these things, am I wasting a trip? I'm sure the F100 Supernationals and the show in June will be better. But I was just wondering if any of you bother with this particular show?

Haven't been to the one in Knoxville, but I have been to the NSRA regional nationals in Burlington, Vermont; Tampa, Florida; Kalamazoo, Michigan; Pueblo, Colorado; Nashville, Tennessee; York, Pennsylvania; and Winston Salem, North Carolina. There's probably one or two I forgot. If you get a chance to go I assure you that you will enjoy it. I have never been to one I did not enjoy a lot!

Thanks Vern. I'll try to snap some pics if we do end up going. I'm wondering how many old trucks will be at this event. I did read some things on the HAMB about how a few of the guys have slacked off on attending this event because they apparently allow "newer" cars in the show.

It they have "slacked off" in attending, it's their loss! Opening the show up to newer vehicles was the best thing NSRA could have done. Overall participation is up...not down! The newer cars are still limited to 1981 and older. I like seeing them there.

Oh cool! That's not a problem with me. I was thinking they were allowing late model cars in or something. Thanks for the info.
