Hey guys, got a new problem with my beast. If you dont let it warm up for 10 minutes or more it runs extremely rough. In rough I mean jerky, sluggish, takes about a mile to get up to 45mph, no power. I have a banks programmer on it and if I dont have time to warm it up, when the programmer finally kicks in it runs smooth. I noticed when its rough I can see small puffs of smoke out the exhaust. crank time to start is also a little longer than normal. No lights are on and I just changed the filters thinking that may be a problem. If it sits more than 4 or 5 hours it does the same thing and even in 70 degree weather it does it when first started. After warm up or the programmer kicks in it runs perfectly fine. Thanks for any help.
Sorry, wasnt thinking. Its a '05 6ltr. I have already been thru the blown head gasket and put head studs in it. It has all the banks goodys on it. When you start it cold it idles extremely rough for bout 25-30 seconds. And when I say cold starts I am refering to been sitting for more than 5 hours, temp outside doesnt matter if its 20deg or 70deg.
Dangit, not what I wanted to hear but kinda what I was thinkin. So is this a bolt on and go or do I have to have it hooked to a computer to make it work. Just checked and it $708.00. Not as bad as I thought it would be
