I have a 1984 4x4 Ford F-150 it has the straight 6 I want to put a 351W in its place. My truck has the 4 speed standard tranny in it what bell housing will I need, will ones that fit a 302 work or will mine work???I need one my motor is SMOKED!!!!!!!
Your bell housing from your 300 will bolt right up to a 351W. To swap to the 351W, you will need to remove the 300 motor mount perches from your frame and install 302/351W motor mount perches from a donor truck - junk yard is your best bet. You will also need a 302/351W radiator.
Also remember: DO NOT use the flywheel from your 300 on the 351W unless you want it to shake like hell and crack the crankshaft.

Flywheel will be 28 oz imbalance. Early 302 flywheel should work. Don't quote me, but I'd imagine the small block trucks take a 164 tooth flywheel, not either of the two smaller ones.
