Yep, I agree. I had to be reeeeeeeel careful everyday. My L used to be my daily driver/work truck.
This is how I carried the long stuff.
There was many a day I had 12' stacks of sheetrock in my 6' bed, using that extender. I just had to take those upright goalpost arms, flip
em 90 degrees, slide 'em back in and off I went.
When I bought it, it already had a spray in bed liner. I of course added some seat covers to protect the inside.
I love my Wet Okole's....

I've had a Lightning and I LOVED that truck. But it's too pretty to really use as a truck if you know what I mean. The bed is tiny and the interior is very very nice.
