54 Panel updates
I don't know how relevant this will be at the beginning, but I intend to keep track and post updates for you on this thread as they happen. This being the first, and practically also the start of the formal project here it goes.
Julie had been sitting in the sun and weather for almost two years since I brought her home. In December I finally gathered the money to build her a semi-garage out in the garden right next to the house. Once finished it will be her permanent home and my working space.
It's a 30X14 brick roof that will also hold a couple of bedrooms on what will be the upper level of the house some day. If the numbers are right, in a couple of months it will be a well spent 3K. There's a bathroom and storage room in the right of the pic, or what would be the far end from the door. Still working on, lighting, plastering and weather proofing the top, but it should happen not long from now. One more thing that I want to add is one of those electric 'curtain type' lifting garage doors to save some of the space used by the two panel sheetmetal gate I currently have.
Here's a couple of pics for that morbid curiosity that rules FTE

When we started: (you can also see what used to be my ducks underneath, hehe)
Currently with the Ranger hoggin' the spot while she can:
In her Temp Pen at the front of the house: Not much longer girl!
You can see the rest of the pictures and what I've documented until now in my albums.
Cheers!

Been trying to find old panel ambulance photos, but I don't know if it's just my luck or that they weren't very popular for the job.
If anyone knows of any possible pointers you could share I would really appreciate it.

Been through the details, looks great but it's really just a shell. Everything else is just darkside to me

Thanks for the interest, I guess I could make a list of options and decide.

Looks like I have a Motorcraft 2150 on the 302.

Gonna take a lot of love to get it back to work.
After several attempts a busted belt and a steaming radiator she got under the shed.
No, I'm didn't accidentally start posting on the wrong thread, I know this is Julie's. Today I got some time in the afternoon to "do something". I still don't know if it was a good or bad decision; but I took my first blow at canibalizing (spellcheck?) Julie to get Jessie closer to driving condition. Since it's Julie's parts I worked on, there to be posted here.
Took out the radiator fan and housing to check if they'll fit in Jessie.
Before:

After some wet sanding and paint:

If they fit, I'll update Jessie's thread about it just to show some activity. If they don't, I guess at least I'll have a few nice looking parts ready for Julie.

I know I've been in hibernation for some time, but I wanted to bring you this update from yesterday.
Towed Julie to a friend's shop to get working on getting her road ready. As soon as we're done with that we're going to drive her to another friend's lot to blast the body and prime before doing more body work.
Thought you truck **** addicts would like to see some pics of what happened.
Big storm hit us while loading up
Getting to the shop

Added some vids to the album but they wouldn't play, I'll try youtube some other time.
As always, check the Photobucket link for more
There is something special about this picture. It doesn't matter where in the world you are. Car guys checking out a great looking truck. A light rain having no effect on them as they look it over.
I know you guys won't be interested because of the distance, but I could not let this pass unoticed.
It has been a great place to come and learn and read about others experiences. I will not be leaving the forum; but it has been decided that my girls will be leaving me.
Thank you all for reading this thread.
Just to ducment where the add went.
