Does anyone know if BTS uses billet shafts on the trans? Sounds like a dumb question but just trying to figure out why a JW trans cost so much more then a BTS.I know JW tow master is somewhere around 4300 and a race trans is a couple grand more cause of the billet parts. If BTS is a one trans if all why is it much cheaper?
I tried calling and emailed him 3 times. Its much more easy to ask you guys who have his trans plus its hard to talk on the phone at work.Sorry for all the excuses.
Call and hold. He is hard to get a hold of because he is either working or answering another call. Also, Cale, his son has left to form his own company so he might not be easy to get a hold of.
AFAIK, BTS has one trans with different settings so that might account for the price since he buys the same parts all the time. Not sure of what his internals are but since he is going to fix it for life, why would I bother?

Well that's nice to know he can provide that kind of service and warranty but I rather do the job one time with stronger parts.Less down time, paying someone to remove the trans, broken on the side of the road and shipping all the way to the mainland is not convenient for me. If his parts are as strong as the more expensive shafts then that would be the way to go. I'm sure his trans is one of the best out there. Also I don't want to waste his time asking him these questions.... I'm sure he has better things to do like getting his costumers trucks back one the road.

Well, IMO, it isn't a waste of time. After all, if you want me to part with the "long green", I think it is in your best interest to answer my questions. I asked him about the TC when buying a VB but he talked me out of it.
