still gutless

So if my motor has been rebuilt with 9 or better compression, all the aftermarket goodies but still has the stock cam, will that be enough to still make it feel like it has no power?

Yes, that stock cam is way too small. You should do some port work too, it will make a big difference.

and do not forget to throw the stock timing specs out the window. you will need to time it for its specific compression, fuel octane and load. then it will wake up.

stock specs are for stock engines meeting emissons

Oh really? That's good to know then... I have timed it to about 14* advanced and it still has a slight dead spot but I didn't know if I should go more... I also have a new MSD distributor and wasn't sure if it was set right for the vac advance...

what's your elevation in bozeman? I pass through bozeman couple times a year from sheridan wyo. I know you need a carb atleast 650cfm minimum. I think your around 4500' if I remember correctly.
