Noticed my fan has been on ALOT the past week or two, gOt under there after she was fully warmed up, the top hose has a ton of pressure and very hot, the bottom hose has a decent amount of pressure but very cold. I have heat so I'm thinking a clogged radiator? Ideas and thoughts will help thanks
it should have pressure, the higher the pressure the higher the boiling point of the water in it. how many lbs are marked on your cap? maybe time for a new one. your a closed loop system right? if so it might just not be bleeding off any extra pressure if you think its too much in there. 16lbs iirc is what your cap should be. it could be your radiator clogging up, you can have it boiled out fairly cheap at a radiator shop. they will tell you the condition of it. i was told my idi's radiator was 90% plugged but was still cooling just fine.
not entirely sure where the cap came into the convo but im saying the bottom of my hose is cold and the top is hot, thats why im thinking the radiator is plugged of some sort. plus the fan is always on and since im a 5spd all i hear is that fan wining while shifting. and it hasnt hit past 70° here yet.
i have a 7.3 radiator kicking around, i think im just going to toss that in but id like to know if im cooking my poor motor just booting around town.

im very open to ideas and thoughts, ive never messed with a thermostat for the most part and dont know if a stuck one can still give you heat? its scorching, given its high 60s and the windows are down but still. the water neck looks like its been damp, could be time to take a peak in there i supose. ive heard horror stories of stats dying soon after, any good stock replacements? not interested in the 201 or what ever it is

Its the famous 203*
Just be carefull, because there are two stock types of Tstats and according to your model year (1995) you need the one with the short stant that its 205* and the later (1996 and up) is long stant and 195*.
i can only find 205s at the nearest parts stores, no thank you ill keep my head gaskets in 1 piece LOL i think ill just go to ford and take the porking for 36$ for the 192° OE. will really stink if thats not the issue!
