New member of the 200k club today...

Turned over 200k miles on the ole girl this morning on way to work. Heres hoping for another 200 to come. She has treated me good for the most part, have only had to address routine wear and tear and nothing major as yet. Still going on original trans. Maintenance items addressed so far:
Bearings (140k)
Ball joints (185k)
Water pump (150k)
AC (170k)
Brake calipers (135k, probably would have gotten more cept for driving thru IKE storm surge, salt water)
Sway bar bushings (180k) and numerous small misc items.
But by far the best thing done to date was the addition of DP Tuner at about 180k, . Getting about 20mpg with the ole gal with some foot control. Going to flush the trans this week or next, starting piggy bank for purchase from BTS cuz now that im bragging on the truck, it will likely sit up and get my attention shortly. Knock on wood. Given that my dads 6.0 and my buddy's 6.0 are both currently in the shop, my ole 7.3 just keeps on a chuggin.

Good deal Damon. Man, we need to get together soon. David told me he met you while he was on the side of the road.

congrats, good to hear the truck is holding up. i love my dp tuner but i still think my best mod was updating to the newer cup holders in the dash. no more cups falling out and even works when truck is not running.

Congrats on the 200K. I'm still trying to reach 90K on mine. Doing the math I only put 8K a year on it. With the fuel prices now it is doubtful I will ever see 100K on her.

My 02 is at 142k. I have a ways to go. Keeps me satisfied that I have a LONG time before this truck dies.

This is correct. I just happened to be passing by on way to meet some friends on the river and didnt know where he or his work were located. But as I passed by I saw this guy all perched up in the engine bay of a big ole truck, and i said to myself, hey, I KNOW THAT TRUCK! lol So I turned around and stopped and chatted with him while he was swapping some donor injectors trying to troubleshoot his issues.

[quote=KJNDIVER;10298293] my ole 7.3 just keeps on a chuggin.
And may it chug another trouble free 200k.
I just racked up another 5k in the past two weeks (FL to MD to FL to NJ to FL) to put me at 256k. She never missed a beat.
Along the way I noticed a few newer Dodges and Chevys pulling some campers, but The heavy loads were all being pulled by good old 7.3's
