I'm liking that H2E!!!! I went with a 38R but man that whistle just kills me some times!! I'm curious to hear how she runs. I'm looking at doing the Stage Is & live tuning to finish my build, so your input would be greatly appreciated. Have fun with it!

got the head and oil pan off today. that "special" rtv really sticks. had to pry the hell out of the oil pan to get it off......and the heads i swear weighed about 100 effing pounds each....good lord you better eat your wheaties when lifting those things off the dowels.....more pics for ya....

letting all the fluids drip out of the bottom for a day or so then ill flip it back over and clean the oil pan surface and mount the new oil pan.....

Just a reminder to:

Re-torque all the rod and main caps.

Pay close attention (inspection) to the cooler jets.

Make sure your pickup tube isn't cracking.

You aren't ever going to have a better opportunity to access those things.

is the pick up tube cracking a common thing? hmmmm.....78k on the motor should i replace it? im all about replacing crap while its easy. i just put the new melling pump on and my fluidampr arrives on tuesday. i did read somewhere though that as long as you dont take out the cooler jets you really dont have to worry about them, but when you do and re-use the bolts thats when guys have trouble with them falling out. any truth to this do you know?

oh and where should i look for the crack on the pick up tube? thanks....
