These boards have been laying on my shop floor for four years. I think they look better here. Suppose to get headliner finished Wed and a little more wiring should get me to a car show in two weeks.

That looks great! My boards are/have been on my top shelf for the past 2 years. Hopefully, they'll be installed by August!
Your truck is a work of art - absolutely gorgeous!
I'm going to go hide mine under a cover or something - I had so many dents I just told the guys helping with my body work to leave them - I kind of went with the "dents give character" look. I can't even conceive how much work it must have been to get that perfect.

You buy a new bed. Time vs money. And you will never straighten a 50 yr old dented bed

It's a new repro bed. It's the 51/52 style while the truck is a 48-50 style. No one reproduces the 48-50 bed.
very nice.I would be looking for a custom see-through tail gate out of thick plexyglass to show how clean that bed is,and straight.you could eat on it.
I am with Ben tho.I am cheap.plus my poor f1 is a go not a show.
sure love your truck tho
I replaced so much on my 1950 truck that I made a decision to do what it took to keep the original cab & bed - I felt like it was essential to the "core" of the truck. I also read several threads where Sam talked about being limited by "the paint" in what he could do with his green truck. I left dents so I wouldn't be worried about the paint & I could use the truck to do things. I know I would be paranoid about getting door dings etc.
If I were going to shows I'd make it as pretty as possible - You have definitely done that & it looks great. My son is 19 - He would happily demolish that paint job in an afternoon.
