Truck tracking sideways

Anyone ever noticed that you see alot of the 69 F 100's tracking slightly sideways (rear tracks to the passenger side slightly?) I noticed this years ago and have seen it many times since. Always seems to be the 69's that do it, can tell by the grill and front bumper that they are 69's.
I think I have seen probably 20 of these over the years. Anyone have any explanation to the phenomenon?
Just curious, as saw one this weekend again.

It's called dogtracking, and is usually caused by weak springs. One side of the rear axle is able to move further forward than the other, causing it to track to one side.
