brake problems

brake problems
i have a 78 f250 and when the truck is running and i push down on the brake pedal the pedal wont return even if i pull on it. does anyone know what would cause that?

brake problems
i does come back when the truck is off but it comes back slow and hard

Sounds like the brake booster is bad

i thought thats what it might have been but i wasnt sure, ill check into that, thank you

What about the check valve on the booster? It's only $5-$7 vs a new booster. I'd try that first.

alright, i will check that first, would there be anything else small besides the check valve with out buying a whole booster?

That's the only thing that I can think of that would have a different effect on it whether the truck was running or not.
