Is a gasket necessary?
I have a BW1345 that came off of a C6, that I am putting on a ZF5. It had a gasket on it when it came off, but it was wasted. I have not been able to find a reference for a gasket for the ZF5, and was wondering, was one even used between the tailshaft housing, and the transfer case.
