Man, lets hope not. I'd read where the Corps of Engineers wanted to breach a levy, into some farmland, to spare a city in southern Missouri. Poplar Bluff, if I remember right.
Yeah never seen this much water.........time to move back to Caily, as I cant deal with flooding and tornado's grrrr. I will take an earthquake over that any day.
Ahhh pffff its just a little shakin around for a few mins and all is good. I was there when that bad one hit San Fran and it was bad but not like these tornado's can do.
Okay, but I seem to recall a pretty big quake.....In Japan!! That was a little more than just a little shaking. So was the one in SF. That was in 89, right after I got out of the Navy in Oct. I remember seeing it on tv.
The power finally came back on at my house at 6:20 pm tonight. We lost all the food in our refridgerator/freezer and about 2/3 of all the food in the big freezer. My desktop computer was also apparently fried when the power went out....plugged it back in tonight and the smoke escaped from it.
However, no injuries to any loved ones and no damage to the abode, so I'm one of the fortunate ones. The devastation is impossible to fathom even when witnessed first-hand. My heart goes out to all those who lost loved ones or homes (or both) this past week.
Good evening Tennessee! The destruction these storms left is so sad, people lost things that can not be replaced. My heart and prayers go out to those touched by the storms. Scott, you and your church group did a commendable deed for the people of Alabama.
