Here's a couple pics of some wagons I have redone. I don't have pics of black, but here's one of Rustoleum Hammered black (more like charcoal) and one of powder coat silver primer and powder clear. I was going for an aluminum look with those. The company was Columbia Coatings.

Ha!! LOL. That's funny right there!!!

Say, since your planning to ditch the Jeep center caps, there would be no harm in modifying them, right? I mean, why not make custom caps using the existing ones as the foundation.

I have a couple of ideas..... can you post a pic of the wheel and center cap? I'd like to know what my brain has to work with... I hope they project a few inches from the wheel center....Hints: Think "scallops" and "Swiss Cheese"

Heres a pic from my gallery. Best I have right now. The rear is the one that is missing, but the front one is on there.

Problem with the rear ones is that the "Jeep" center cap is cast in, so I would have to grind, cut or cover it.

That is basically the same style center cap I had with the red Ford reflector type center where the jeep is on yours. I forgot to mention I also had chrome lug nuts. Ive got a set of turbines that I painted satin black in between the spokes; on my current truck with rusty chrome center caps. Ive been kicking around powdercoating the caps wrinkle black. Just havent gotten around to it yet.

(Pic Omitted)
Darn it. .. I was gonna suggest drilling lightening holes around the side and painting the inside and lip of the holes with a different color. Can't really achieve that look with them things.

I'd take a die grinder to them and painting or, as suggested above, sticking an emblem over the word "Heep" . Blue oval emblems are a dime a dozen in the 'yards. I'd epoxy (5-minute!) over them in a heartbeat.

Don't be concerned about throwing off the balance... the extra weight won't matter because it is at the center of rotation.

Btw, Cragar sells center caps separately for all it wheels according to the Jegs catalog listings.

Those center caps did shine up real nice. Just because I wanted to see how it looked and I had the front wheels off to do my brakes, I went ahead and did a quickie rattle can job on the front wheels. Looks pretty sharp actually, but it wont last long before I will have to do it right.

Thinking I may do a custom emblem of some kind for the center caps. Giving it thought

I painted these, or rather had the fellow who painted the truck paint the sheels at the same time. I removed the tires for painting, used old stock rims for truck. Used SS 1985 Monte Carlo SS trim rings

How much does these rims run in price

Front masked... I used a roll of overspray paper from HD and a roll of one-inch blue painter's tape.

Back masked... Yep, did the back too. I didn't want any white to show in order to maintain the stealth look of my rig that wears a camo paint scheme.

Completed.. I eventually used three cans Rustoleum Hammerite Bronze. For me the other option was dark grey. I didn't want black because then it just looks like a big black blob. If you do go black, then a contrasting line on the rim really helps accentuate the form.

Masking and taping was kinda of tedious but I'm really happy with the results. Remember, ya got either 8 or 10 sides (the spare!) to mask. It helped me mentally to complete one wheel at a time...
Hi what are the price on theses rims and tiers. My Email is tugboat2178@live.com

I'm assuming they had to change design because young morons like me were jumping them so hard the spoke welds were breaking and slamming through the outer wheel.

Those rims are called "Jackmans" are fairly tough and ol school. What ever you want to paint, the prep is import and the surface prep and no grease or wheel weights.

You can go with a standard white spoke and a blue hub and lug nuts? Or a black with chrome center cap and chrome lugs. I have even see a orange rim with white center cap and white lugs. Paint the center one color (like the car color) and then the outer something different.

Also a black outer part and red on the rim back side and outer edge, the red shower up thru the spokes nicely.

I think the best paint it the enamel for painting kitchen appliances. Jam a thin piece of cardboard between the tire and rim to get the back edge.

Pin stripping used for the body can be used to slick it a bit out, also and paint markers too.

If you have spoked rims and still have drums brakes on the rear, you can paint the brake drum a different color to make it stand out. The first pic is to show you something real different.

Thanks Rich.
We used to just have the generic name "Tacoma" for them. Never knew who made them.
I did a quick search and could only find a used one here and there. The sites I found that sell new "Jackmans" are the full circle style. Those welded ones are freakin cool.
I'd buy a set just for old time sake.
Leads anyone?
