My new 2001 F250 with 152,000 is still riding on its original shocks and I want to replace them. Does anyone have favorites? I'll be mostly on the road but a little off-road for camping and quad riding trips. In a quick browsing online I noticed quite a price range from $45 for Skyjacker Nitrogen 8000 to $70 for Blisters. Are they fairly easy to install? Any special tools required?
If you're spending any time off road I would go for the Bilstien 5100's, they are the best. Spendy, but worth the price. Second choice would be KYB's, a little less expensive but still good. I've run both setups and for my offroad vehicles (F250 & Jeep) it's Bilstien, for my F150 (road truck) I picked the KYB's.
I have the Bilsteins and they are OK but pretty stiff when the truck is empty. Definately helped with the leaning in the turns. If Im had to buy new now I would try the Rancho Xl9000. They are adjustable and i think that would be a great feature to try.

Thanks! The adjustability is a really nice feature. Many truck owners will mix it up between the front and rear axle depending if there is something in the bed or towing. The 9000XL's come with our 90 day risk free trial offer as well.
