That's all I've been trying to tell you without seeming rude. The cheapest way to verify that is to get you another control valve and swap them out. Spend a couple bucks on a new drain pan and keep everything clean and you can save a bunch of money. Other than the valve all you need is fluid and maybe a new gasket, which I think most of can be reused.
You said you swapped out your trans so you should have one but I bet one could be borrowed for a couple of days if you don't. Shift kit is installed in the valve body itself so if you swap and don't have the problem or whatever, it's no big deal and easier than tearing it out and apart.
Just my 2 cents worth and could save you a lot... if not, it won't cost you much more than time to find out, right?
