I have an '02 windstar with a V-6. It is a commercial van that I use for work. When I am at freeway speed the steering feels way overboosted. Turning the steering wheel only 1/2" either way is enough to change lanes.
Is there any way I can change the pump pressure? Or can I change to a pump from a higher grade van that has variable power assist?
It is kinda scary sometimes. Today I was on the freeway and accidently pulled on the steering wheel a small amount and almost hit the center devider. If I would have been in my Lincoln the effect would not have been nearly as extreme.
