Now that I am looking at that diagram, I just noticed for the first time a red wire running from the battery next to where the orange wire ties in that says "trailer battery feed" but doesnt run to the trailer tow connector with all the other wires like the white, green, yellow, etc. It runs away from them a ways before it ends and says those words. Trying to figure out photoshop so i can post a pic of this diagram

trailer battery feed is charging wire for the trailer. It is not going via the controller. On my truck I had the wire, but it was not connected to the 6-prong factory plug and I had to put 30 A fuse to activate it.
