Security System/Anti Theft?

Hey guys,

What's the best way to make these things theft proof?

Jimmy Jammers?

Battery/Fuel Pump Cutoffs?

Etc...

The factory PATS key, comes on all Excursions. No have key, no drive it away. It will not start without the transponder in the key housing (that's why the key is so big).

Jimmy Jammers would protect from door latch override but the route around that is to break the window.

But I hear about F250's and such being stolen all the time...do they not have PATS?

Most did not, I believe it was dependent on the year/model. Worst that should happen to your Ex is it can get broken into.

Well dang I didn't know that. That's good to know!

I know my Mustangs have a PATS system but they are small enough that people just role up and throw them on a trailer haha

On the trucks that was something added in later yrs, after 05 sometime. The only X's that you here gone are the ones that bypassed the pats by putting key inside column for remote starts, and even then very few. It is still a pain tho when they brake a window and clean you out.
As mentioned, I have heard on cars get flatdecked if it is really wanted.

My old X was stolen from a parking lot in San Antonio. It was an '02. Did it not have the transponder key?
