I got a boat from my neighbor. All we know is its a terry boat. I can't find a vin anywhere. Does anybody have a terry boat? Or had one that can tell me where the vin is?
cant find a vin anywhere. i dont have a pink slip for it either. it was left to my neighbor when his dad died. he doesnt have any paperwork on it. we looked for a vin. the last registration was in 99?
Your states marine board will have all the info, as they issued numbers to the boat.
Hull ID numbers are usually near or on the specifications and BIA capacity plate.
Depending on the year of the boat, it may not have a hull number. Boats built before November 1st 1972 weren't required to have a hull identification number.
Well, there's a 10 in 12 chance you don't have an HID then. LOL! I ran into the same thing with registering a boat inTN several years ago. All I needed was a bill of sale from the seller and the amount I bought it for to pax the taxes. My registration didn't even tell what year the boat was!
