I posted in my thread about finding a set of discs off of a '73 for my '66.
I have already removed one spindle without issues and am now working on the second. Problem I am having is one of the grease cap nuts is locked in place.
The cap was iffy at best when I started but is now stripped. I can get the king-pin out by forcing a screwdriver through the grease fitting hole but wanted to install a new king-pin set when I put them on the '66.
So far I have tried PB pentrating oil, heat and brut strength to get it out but there's no budging the dang thing
Can someone please throw me a line on how to get the cap "un-frozen".
Final got the danged thing off. A good bit of filing down the chewed up sides of the cap so the vise-grips would grab and some of the B.F.H. theory finally helped. Lost my easy out set so I was sort of stuck. Thanks for the reply.
