Saving data from a harddrive that got zapped

My power supply fried my board, sound card, HD and Floppy. I've replaced everything and have my new system up and running using an old 20G HD.

I'm under warrenty on the 80G that was fried and need to send it back, BUT I have a bunch of stuff I'd like to salvage off of it.

I bought the exact same drive (Seagate baracudda 80G IDE) and swapped controllers, this caused the old drive to spin, but the BIOS wouldn't see it.

I've tried Seagate software, WD software and downloaded several others from dowload.com and none of the saw the old drive with the new contoller.

I can't spend $1,500~2,000 to get the data back, but I'm willing to put a little work into it.

Does anyone know of a PC baced software program that can see a drive that the BIOS won't?
