Hi, did you see this? I clean these filters couple times in the last year in order to keep the engine running, but I never see that grey or silver scalps on the fuel tank filters. Looks like the the paint or tratment inside the tank is peeling.
Wow, that is ugly. Can't beleive it is that dirty again after a recent cleaning, wonder what is failing, or if somewhere you are getting fuel has a tank with its lining coming apart?
when i did the in tank mods it was the rod that the flote was on that was corroding but you had to buy the whole sending unit so i sanded it and went on. get rid of those filters and the whole mixer valve.

Agree, It can't be your equipment. I would notify the fuel station of this. Show em these pictures. How do you tell what station it is could be tricky. I don't stick to one station.
Even though you should get rid of those filters, with debri like that you should put in a inline filter to protect the pump. Plus the pick up screen will soon be clogged anyways.
That gunk don't look like anything we have in the tank. Unless it is paint chips from the filling neck. But don't look like rust
I don't use the same Gas Satation everytime so I don't know what to think. Plus, I clean the filters with the same scenario couple times this past year (3 or 4 times).
Did somebody hear about Gas tank peeling in our Ford trucks? It seems to be a common issue :-(
I think Clux has the problem solved.. I found this on the net... it is a 2005 F450, but the steel tank has problem with delamination. Corrosion in Ford diesel fuel tanks (p.2)
