reverse lights

Is there a different bulb I could use for the back-up lights? The stock ones kinda suck IMO(hard to see backing up)

Mikey, that link is broken. Could you provide a working link? This concept has got me interested.

LEDs are a good inexpensive upgrade. Try that first maybe?

I'm running a pair of Vision X LED pods mounted high on the topper for backup lights.

looks like a neat product but then where do you hook up your safety chains and trailer harness with this installed, unless you are using it without a trailer. I wonder if they make anything that plugs into your hitch receiver, kind of like the brake light insert?

it says the safety chains have room to be hooked up, but you might have to move the 7-pin harness.

Appears that a harness relocation plate is available.

You know...the devilish side in me is curious to know how difficult it would be to wire a switch into this. I would LOVE to have the ability to turn this on for those lucky few that like to ride my bumper at night.
Sure it'd be highly illegal, but would probably get them off my ****.

It has a switch for manual operation. I suppose thats for if you were working behind the truck and needed light.

You're right Mike...it does have a 3 position toggle setting. My understanding though is that you'd have to be outside the truck to flip that switch.
I would want the ability to flick the lights on from the driver's seat, while driving, regardless of forward or reverse.
I guess you could run a 12v hot lead to them with a switch for that lead somewhere in the cab right. Like to an upfitter?
