GOT A BAD SPEED O METER
I put my garmin gps in my 51 over the weekend and it tells ya how fast you are going . Well to my surprize it didn't match the gauge. So i called the vendor and he said he was going to call me and let me know that they had put 140 mph guts in the 120 gauges. This made the speed about 12 mph off at around 60. No wonder i couldn't get the crusie to work. I have read that darn crusie book 50 times trying to program that thing. But if the speed o meter ain't right it ain't going to happen. I wonder if i would have found out if i hadn't called ????? They are sending me a new one so now i got to stand on my head and try to get changed over. One good thing is i can start over with the miles. LOL PLUS I GET A 140 MPH GAUGE !!!

When I bought my electronic speedometer I thought about a GPS speedometer. My only concern is that I know there are places where the GPS signal is diffcult or not available. My luck that would happen when I had an officer of the law behind me.
Even the electronic speedo was no piece of cake to install. First is the signal gen at the trans and then I made up a wiring harness. But after installed and before calibration it is only 5 mph fast at 60. It is nice and smooth and so worth it as it is to Dale, the GPS works fine for him. Of course that is when they send the right pieces.....
Keep us upto date on how it works.
