Platinum Spark Plugs

I have a 1998 E-Superduty V10. Would Platiunm plugs have been inserted as original plugs? I have 60,000 miles and it runs great/smooth. Should I even mess with new plugs?

What brand are they? How does one look? I'm running my Blazer A/C Delco platinum plugs going on 80,000 miles. I'm not sure what plugs came in a 98 Superduty but platinum plugs could of if they are Autolight or Motorcraft.

Plugs

Thats the thing, I don't even want to touch them because of all the problems I hear about. They are original ford plugs, thats all I know.

Yes. It came with Motorcraft double platinum plugs. Good for about 100K miles. I changed the ones in my old 01 F150 at about 80k just to me safe.

What can I do, if I do decide to change them to keep away from the "spark plug blow-outs" that I keep hearing about?

I use a little anti-seize on the threads and tighten them to about 16ft/lb.
The key is to not overtighten them and pull the threads out of the head, but make sure they are tight enough that they don't back out and blow out taking the threads with them.
