Starter is dragging
I tried the search function, but i wasn't very successful. My starter has been dragging pretty bad lately. I've made up my mind to replace it. I don't have the time to wait for a rebuild. I have heard bad things about the Duralast starters from Auto Zone. Does anybody have any info on the Ultima / Mitsubishi starters from Kragen? Any info would be appreciated.

Lol. Take it to a place and have them bench test it no less than 2 times. You want it to get a lil warm before you get your real awnser. I havent seen any of my Ultima starters come back yet. But I've only been with O'Reilly for about a year. Most my time was with Advance ( 5.5 years ). Both good starters. Just remember to keep your receipt. Cuz w/o that, your warrenty is about as good as a door stop. Duralast are junk IMOP. Dont be affraid to ask for a FD discount as well. Most of the time they will hook ya up. Good luck my friend!

I got the starter from Kragen. Did the install this morning. Went great. Just that upper bolt was a pain to get to blind. Truck started quick and the CEL went away. happy camper.

Im glad to hear you got taken care of. I hope they hooked ya up with something. Did they bench test your starter?
