Cruise Control

Hey guys,

06 F250 Powerstroke here, and I took it on its first roadtrip about 4 hours away to Charlotte, NC. Either way, it did well, I was proud of it!

There was a slight problem I noticed. When I was riding up, I had my cruise control set, and all of a sudden the truck jerked...the guages (mainly speedometer) moved in the opposite direction and then back to where they were. Then the "ABS" light illuminated. When I turned the truck off and back on the light went off. It did the EXACT same thing on the way back...

Anyone else ever experience anything like this??

There is a recall for the cruise control, you may want to check it out.

The totality of the described symptoms suggests a momentary interruption of power to the PCM/cluster.

I'd suggest starting by checking and cleaning the battery terminals and checking the condition of the cables. Beyond that, check the PCM Power Relay and check the fuse boxes for corrosion or loose connections.
