Then the "ABS" light illuminated. When I turned the truck off and back on the light went off. It did the EXACT same thing on the way back...

I'd suggest starting by checking and cleaning the battery terminals and checking the condition of the cables. Beyond that, check the PCM Power Relay and check the fuse boxes for corrosion or loose connections.
