I would do a C6 as even if you pyp a tranny it will in all likely hood outlast a performance built C4.

Call a tranny shop, they can tell you. Tell em what u r doing.

I had my big block C6 rebuilt for 375, behind my 435hp 460. Had a high stall TCI converter already

well, timing stinks.. I pulled the 408 out of my truck, and its a good one,
aluminum ford motorsport heads, roller rockers..
and a built up C4(i think).

I'm going to sell this to fund the tpi efi supercharged engine for the 56 bw.

408

thats a good looking motor sam, you oughta hang on to that one! Just got an update from the machine shop, 030 didnt quite do it, said he has to go 040 over to clear the ring land area which is fine. i had pictures but internet security wont let me upload on government computer. He said that a rear sump pan wont work with this application im not sure if its bc im going with a main stud girdle or just because of the crank. will i have clearance issues with the stock front end with a front sump pan? Canton Racing Products 15-660 - Canton Racing Street/Strip Wet Sump Oil Pans - Overview - SummitRacing.com this is the one im considering. any suggestions on intakes? i like the super victor jr racing intakes. does anyone think that head stud girdles are worth installing?

If you're racing, and fighting for that 1000th of a second, then all that matters, otherwise its a waste.

oil pan

i wasnt planning on going with the head girdle, didnt even know about them until today. definately think its worth it to go with the main girdle, i have read that the main girdle increases the strength and stability of the lower end of the block by 40%. My main question was with the oil pan and clearance with the stock front end. MII probably will be put on the back burner for several years but if i could i would like to get an oil pan that will work for the MII, and i dont think i can with a front sump.
