I recently bought a 53 as a project and it had this digital dash cluster in it. I cant seem to find it anywhere online all I find is the dakota digital pieces curious what this is? It was red in color had oil pressure/ coolant temp. volts and fuel level as well as speed in center no tach. curious if anyone knows who possibly made it.
I all worked but they didnt have oil or coolant hooked up which is pin 5&6 on the back i am assuming since there were no wires there.. Any idea of make and value would be appreciated as i am going to sell the unit, as i am going all autometer.
Thanks
sorry should have took a pic with it lit up but didnt think ahead
I think you should send the pictures to dakota digital
They will now if some tried to make a digital, and maybe its one of them but in a testing stage.
Looks to me like a custom job, and a real good one at that, the wiring hook-up looks pretty basic, and they didnt use all the space in the cluster, like the gaps on the left and right of the board there, which is what makes me think its custom. If you have a picture of it illumenated, I could probably tell you instantly what its from.
No numbers or anything that i can see I didnt take it apart as it seems like the glass is siliconed in. The terminals on the back are numbered 1-10 and that is it. If it is custon it was nicely done, i am curious if ther was any early production dakota digials or something like that?
