Why? Ford screwed the pooch back in '97 when they thought it would be a good idea to split the half-ton and higher trucks. How can you call one truck an F-150, then have the F-250+ be a completely different platform? At least Dodge and GM still have all of their trucks matching. If I were to buy a half-ton new truck it would NOT be a Ford for this reason. Not to mention that every F-150 since '97 has been HIDEOUS. I just hope with the next major redesign of the 'Super Duty', Ford drops the 'F-150' and 'Super Duty' separate monkiers and just goes back to a line of trucks that share bodies and just use the F-series designation for weight class.

Rant over. Congrats on the new truck.

I disagree. I think my '99 Lightning looks pretty baddazz but then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, aint it!

jwill8957, I hope the truck meets all your needs.

Good luck with your new ride..I think it's very sharp looking. Did you get the Ecoboost? Good friend of mine just got a Platinum edition w/ the Ecoboost and I was shocked how quick it was

The new truck does look good. Why go with a gasoline truck instead of another diesel?

It takes a big man to realize when it's time to downgrade his vehicle.

Just razzin' ya...that's a sharp looking truck. Hope you enjoy it, and get lots of trouble-free use out of it!
