runs rough when at normal running temp.
Hey yall, this is my first post. Im having problems with my 03 250 6.0l. Last week because of laziness i bypassed the fuel station to get on home and going by miles to empty display I thought it would be fine but it lied and i ran out of diesel. I put more in it cranked it up and every thing was fine until 2 days ago. After my truck had warmed up it started running rough. I stopped and killed then cranked it back up and it seemed to be running fine then after 30-45 seconds it started to run rough again. So i again stopped killed and recranked. I done this several times and every time after 30-45 seconds it would run rough (once it died while driving down the road but cranked right back up) but only if the engine was warm. if i was sitting idle then 30-45 seconds after i cranked it the rpms would jump from 700 to 900 and would not go back down until i recranked. There are no oil leaks that i can see. My filters are clean. I also verified fuel is being delivered to the fuel filter housing when the key is turned on. Ive recently read about ipr, icp and cps but do not want to just start changing parts. Any ideas?
