Ac blows cold for 10 minutes then blows warm. Turn it off wait 5 to 10 minutes, turn it back on blows cold again for 10 minutes, then hot again. I have charged up the system but it didn’t resolve the problem. Anyone have answers..
what is your selector on? MAX or lower. Its sounds like you are freezing the evap try to set your selector at its lowest if it cools without switching to heat work your way up on the selector until it repeats the heat. also you have to take into account outside temp and humidity.
Open the hood and LOOK at the compressor clutch to see what it is doing when the air goes warm. Look at the accumulator can to see if it is excessively frosted (indicating possible evaporator icing).
We can't see or hear your truck, so YOU have to be the eyes and ears to provide information for us to assist otherwise you can just take it to a shop for diagnosis and repair.
You DID read the FAQs, did you not? They contain information about the common failures of the HVAC systems on the F-series trucks and can help you get oriented in defining the problem.
Thanks all,
I gave the clutch trick a try and it worked!!!! Their was only 1 ring made it sooo easy.
I love that I learn something new. This site gives good advice. I grew up with a mechanic father, and was forced to learn the basics. As a woman it’s so easy to get taken advantage of. I've noticed to that some men look at you weird when you talk like you know something..HEHEHEHE
This is the second time I’ve pulled advice from here, I will be back..
