my custom cab has a few parts missing. can any one tell me what i can expect to pay for the windshield molding and a set of inside door molding? i know its depends on location and what not but just trying to make sure i don't overpay too much.thanks for any help
To the best of my knowledge; those parts are obsolete; if your lucky and others don't get there first; try local salavage yards for all the interior chrome. That's the first items I try and get when I find one in a yard.
Check the FTE classified; and ebay for folks selling interior trim peices.
The windshield trim for CC trucks is not hard to find, I sold a set on ebay recently for about $40...thing is the shipping,
it's a larger box (4piece trim) about 30x18x10...CA to NY was about $25. As it's stainless steel, look in a wreckers, they
are usually in very good shape. As far as the inside door trim, it's hard to find, but usually a member will have some for
a fair price. I've sold some for $75 on Ebay and seen them go for over $100 in near mint shape one week, and for $35
the next.
Be prepared to pay, as neither are repro'd (except the door plastic panel inserts)...hope this helps you out.
